DMC has a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit located on the
2nd floor. Each room in our ICU is equipped with
monitoring equipment, O2 and suctioning. The nurse’s station
is conveniently located to allow a view of all the patients’
rooms, plus it has computerized monitoring equipment to
monitor each patient’s condition.
Patients that are assigned to the ICU require maximum
nursing care. As soon as ICU care is no longer needed, the
nurse will request a transfer order from the attending
physician. There is a Nurse Manager and a R.N. assigned to the
unit at all times.

ATTENTION UNMARRIED PARENTS:
CONGRATULATIONS on the upcoming birth of
your child. In order for the father’s name to appear on your child’s
birth certificate at the time of birth, a Paternity Acknowledgment Form
must be completed. Parents who sign a voluntary paternity
acknowledgment may also consent that the relationship between the named
child and father be considered legitimate for all purposes under the
law. The form will be available for the father to sign at the hospital
after the birth of your child. Both parents must sign the same form.
The easiest way to acknowledge paternity and legitimation is to sign the
form before you leave the hospital.
You can also sign the form at your local vital
records office if for some reason both parents are not available to sign
the Paternity Acknowledgment at the hospital.
When signing the form, both parents must provide a
picture I.D. (ex: driver’s license, work or school I.D.), a social
security number and an address.
If you have additional questions concerning the
program, please contact our office at 404-521-2160 or toll free
1-866-296-8262.
Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!!
