Sterilization is responsible for the sterilization and
decontamination of all instruments and most equipment
in the hospital. We clean and sterilize all trays and
instruments used in OR, OB, ER, 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor,
PT, Specialty Clinic, and several doctor's offices.

The Community Health Education department at DMC offers a wide variety of programs from annual health fairs to lifestyle management clinics. Many of the programs are offered on a monthly basis.

The cafeteria at DMC is open to all employees as well as the public. They are responsible for making sure the dietary needs of our patients are met every day. In most cases, special requests of patients can be met.

The HIM ( Health Information Management) maintains medical records for all hospital outpatient visits and inpatient hospitalizations. The HIM department is responsible for transcription, coding, filing and storing for all medical records. The HIM Department provides copying medical records upon proper request.
Requesting Records. An authorization by the patient or legal guardian is required before a request for medical records will be honored. This is to protect the privacy of medical information for all patients. In most cases there will be a charge for copying records. If you need your medical record please contact the HIM department at (229) 424-7193 for additional information regarding requirements and fees for copying records.

All nursing staff has access to pharmaceuticals twenty four hours a day, seven days a week through our SureMed system. A pharmacist is on call at all times and available for consult whenever needed.
