Bruce Shepard became CEO on March 27, 2002. 

Shepard began at DMC as chief operating officer in November of 2000. He formerly served as CEO of Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville for two years. Prior to that, Shepard served in various managerial roles at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele and as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the Army. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia Southern and a master’s in business administration from Georgia College and State University.

Paige Wynn began at DMC in 1991 as CFO. Wynn graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance in 1988 from Valdosta State College. In 1991, she earned a B.B.A. in Accounting.  Wynn became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1998. Her previous experience was in the banking industry.

Debbie Thomas began working at DMC on April 30, 2001. Debbie came to DMC as the Director of Health Information Management. Debbie was promoted on February 18, 2002 to Director of Health Information Management and Case Management. Debbie took over as the Director of Health Information Management/Case Management/ PI/ Joint Commission. Debbie has done an exceptional job on her duties at DMC. Debbie came to DMC with a wealth of knowledge previously working for South Georgia Medical Center as a coder. She then pursued her work experience as the Utilization Review/Quality Coordinator for Louis Smith Memorial Hospital for three years. Debbie moved to Berrien County Hospital where she was the Director of Joint Commission/Case Management/and Performance Improvement for seven years. She gained experience as Healthcare Consultant with Draffin & Tucker CPA,LLP. She worked as an Independent Healthcare Consultant at Palestine Regional Hospital in Palestine, Texas.

 

Debbie Thomas graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management in 1988. She received her Associates Degree in Arts from North Florida Junior College. Debbie completed high school in 1982 at Hamilton County High School in Jennings, Florida.

 

Debbie is married to Michael Thomas. They have one daughter, Carleigh. Debbie resides in Nashville, Georgia. She is the daughter of Albert and Mittie Deas of Jennings, Florida

Stacie Mims

Stacie Mims graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1986. She began her nursing career at East Central Technical College in 1989 in the Licensed Practical Nurse program. Stacie furthered this education at South Georgia College receiving an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1991.  Mims began at DMC on January 6, 1988. She has been a huge part of DMC since that day. Stacie has worked in many capacities since she began working in all areas of Nursing at DMC. Stacie has worked in various roles at Dorminy Medical Center as a ward clerk, Nurses Aide, LPN, and RN. Mims began teaching for ECTC as a Clinical Instructor and Online Instructor in the Nursing Department from 1994-2005 but stayed vital working part-time at DMC when needed. She has brought to DMC experience, compassion and dedication to patient care.
