Reports directly to the CEO/CNO. Within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the executive director, assesses the need for various types of educational programs. Plans, implements, and coordinates educational programs for the hospital staff, patients, and/or community. Assures that all educational needs that are required by the state, regulatory agencies and DNV are met. The Educator has the responsibility of assessing learning needs, contributing to improving the quality of patient care and providing annual and on-going educational needs.
