Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:   

Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy program in hospital, institution, or community setting to facilitate development and rehabilitation of mentally, physically, or emotionally disabled persons. This person may be caring for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and/or senior patients and will have the knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of these populations

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:

  1. Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  2. Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  3. Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
  4. External and internal applicants who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  5. Position has an expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.

License: Current licensure in the state and current BLS basic rescuer skills.

Experience: Completed clinical requirements of certification program.

Experience
Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program. (Or senior radiologic technology student)
