The DMC Foundation was established on November 14, 1985, to ensure health care excellence for future generations. As a not-for-profit rural community hospital, Dorminy Medical Center faces many challenges and needs. Throughout the year, the Foundation hosts two events, the annual Bingo with B.A.B.E.S. event for ladies and Casino Night at The Pillars. Support from fundraisers and donations from businesses and individuals help fund the newest medical technology, improve patient care, upgrade existing facilities, improve access to primary healthcare services in rural areas, and much more. The Dorminy Medical Foundation funds are used for accomplishing these goals — not for operating expenses. The Foundation’s Board of Directors, comprised of local community leaders and members, determines how to best use funds to benefit the hospital and community.

When you make a gift in honor/memory of someone or to celebrate a special occasion, the Foundation will acknowledge your gift to the person you designate, keeping the amount of the gift confidential. You also will receive acknowledgment of your generosity for tax purposes. Every donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Gifts to the Foundation may include cash, land and real estate, and stocks and bonds.

A fantastic night of food, fun, and casino games, all while supporting our DMC Foundation. The event was held at The Pillars, it included cocktails, dinner, and raffle prizes. We are grateful for our sponsors and donors each year as they support our DMC Foundation. All the money raised goes back to our DMC Foundation which allows us to purchase items needed to enhance patient care.

The room was transformed into a beautiful sea of pink, overflowing with laughter, friendship, BINGO cards, "Whoo Whoo" drinks, the Dynamic Emcees Hal and Leslie, handsome waiters, amazing food, fabulous prizes, countless photos, and memories that will last a lifetime.
