Dorminy Medical Center has evolved with the times and offers our community a wide variety of imaging services right here at home. Along with basic x-ray services, Dorminy Medical Center offers a complete service in radiology, computerized tomography, (CT) scanner, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, bone density, stereotactic breast biopsy and mammography. We are a fully digital department with the ability to send our studies to Radiologists who are highly specialized in their field. All of our studies are transferred with just a click of the mouse, giving our patients access to board certified Radiologists who are specialized in brain, abdomen, breast, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
Onsite services are provided by local Radiologist Dr. Stephen Thombley with South Georgia Radiology Associates, a local group of Radiologists who also provide services at many of our surrounding hospitals. Dr. Thombley provides the hospital with all interventional procedures including liver, lung, breast, thyroid, bone marrow and any other needed biopsies.
Available services include:
The Nuclear Medicine Department has a new state of the art camera that can provide a wide range of studies including stress tests, bone scans, thyroid scans, and gallbladder scans, just to name a few. In Nuclear Medicine, we have the capabilities of SPECT, including all cardiac procedures.
The staff in the Radiology department at DMC are proud to serve the community and have over 200 years of combined experience in their field. We are eager to take care of your imaging needs and are proud of our important role in your health care.
