Dorminy Medical Center continues to monitor the global COVID-19 outbreak closely. At this time, there are no known cases locally. However, our goal is to ensure a safe place for our patients and staff. In doing so, we wish to follow guidelines put forward by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which recommends avoiding crowded gatherings. Effective immediately, DMC has implemented patient visitor restrictions to ensure the safest possible environment for all patients and visitors. DMC asks that patients have no more than two healthy visitors over the age of 18 at any given time. We encourage children under the age of 18 to refrain from visiting patients in the hospital at this time.
Visitors will be screened upon arrival. All visitors must stop at the front desk during regular business hours and at the nurse’s station after hours/weekends. It is our goal to keep everyone as healthy as possible.
